Individual Psychotherapy

Individual counseling with adults, adolescents, and tweens (ages 11 & up). We use a holistic approach to therapy to help you grow, heal, and meet your goals. We help you uncover and change the thoughts and behaviors that keep you stuck in places you don’t want to be. We will use evidence-based interventions tailored to your strengths and needs, which may include eye movement therapies/Accelerated Resolution Therapy, ecotherapy/hiking therapy, Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy, Emotional Freedom Technique tapping, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy & more. Together, we will find what works for YOU.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy

Do you have memories or events from your life that keep replaying in your mind or seem to be at the root of your current problems? Maybe you’ve experienced distressing events or some trauma over your lifetime, whether as a child or an adult? Or you have been in high-stress situations related to your job, like in the military, working the ER, or being a first responder? You’ve probably tried traditional talk therapy, but the problem just isn’t resolved.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) can help you get unstuck and finally move forward in your life. ART is a cutting-edge, evidence-based psychotherapy that uses bilateral eye movements and voluntary image replacement to rapidly resolve many mental health problems. This therapy uses similar techniques to Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) but is more directive and procedural in the healing process. Lindsey is a certified ART practitioner.

Check out creator Laney Rosenzweig’s Ted Talk, which explains more about Accelerated Resolution Therapy.

Ecotherapy Interventions

Let’s get outside. We offer sessions, at client request, on a walk around the office or in the woods at local trails. Nature is truly healing.

“Ecotherapy offers simple yet powerful techniques that can easily fit into your daily routine to help lift your mood and boost your energy. Receiving an outdoor Ecotherapy session in a beautiful setting helps you access a calm, well-resourced state of being, which can allow for deeper healing than indoor psychotherapy.”

Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy

There is expanding research in the mental health community around the impacts of Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) to help eligible patients experience long-lasting improvement in symptoms, particularly those struggling with treatment resistant depression, PTSD, anxiety, OCD and other mental health issues. KAP is also effective for those facing a roadblock in their current therapy or for those who prefer not to take daily psychotropic medications.

Summit Trail Therapeutic Services has linked with Journey Clinical to help clients access KAP should they want to pursue this avenue of care. Journey Clinical provides the medical evaluation as well as prescribes the sublingual ketamine rapid dissolving tablets. Please contact Lindsey at lindseyr@summittrail.net for more information on the process and the cost.
