About Lindsey

Lindsey Radabaugh, Owner/Clinical Director/Therapist

Hi! I am Lindsey Radabaugh (ray-duh-bah), LCSW, a licensed clinical social worker with over 20 years of experience in the mental health field. I was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, and I grew up in Lawrenceville, Georgia. I moved with my family to the beautiful north Georgia mountains in 2016, and I opened my private practice here in 2020.

I graduated from the University of Georgia in 2005 with a dual Bachelors of Arts in Psychology & Sociology. I graduated with a Master of Social Work in 2008 from the University of Georgia. My clinical work experience includes providing individual, family, and group therapy in various settings, including sexual assault and child advocacy centers, community-based mental health agencies, school-based special education programs, and private practice across metro Atlanta and north Georgia.

I have a passion for working with individual teens and adults who struggle with issues surrounding unresolved trauma and PTSD. In addition, I work with issues of anxiety, phobias, depression, grief/loss, life transitions, chronic health problems, and school and parenting difficulties. I enjoy working with people who are trying to make sense of their anomalous experiences, as well as helping people who are suffering from benzodiazepine withdrawal syndrome.

My approach to therapy is to do what works for each client and that may look very different from person to person. I will focus on building a safe, trusting relationship with each client and will use each person’s unique strengths and interests to help foster positive change. I take into consideration the “whole person” and believe it’s important that we work towards healing the mind, body, & spirit, while addressing environmental or social factors that may be holding a client back. Check out the section “Therapeutic Services” to learn more about my favorite modalities.

I’m a wife and mom of 3 girls (and a dog mom). We spend much of our time outside tending to the chickens and garden, hiking, kayaking, and camping. I love the outdoors, love to hike and explore, and love animals. I believe (and research supports) that nature is a powerful healer for our mental, physical, and spiritual wellbeing. Some clients may choose to have a “walk and talk” session on a trail or perhaps have a session sitting outside under a canopy of trees. Some clients may choose to bring their own support animals along for the session. It’s ok. We can be creative together to find what is most healing for you.

“Hiking is a bit like life. The journey only requires you to put one foot in front of the other… again and again and again. And if you allow yourself opportunity to be present throughout the entirety of the trek, you will witness beauty every step of the way, not just at the summit.” – Unknown
